Cracked Eggs is a mutable response to the copious work of Christopher Joseph Holme (1952 - 2010).

During 2016 creative practitioners; Aliyah Hussain, Clara Casian, David Wilkinson and Michael Redmond were commissioned to work with and respond to this remarkable collection. Holme was an unknown painter who can be construed as an outsider artist, but whose oeuvre also contradicts such a designation, comprising paintings, sketchbooks and diaries.

This project was a curatorial experiment towards finding an appropriate way of exploring and exhibiting the collection of work by Christopher J Holme, raising questions around the designation 'Outsider Art' and privileging a deeper one-on-one engagement over mass-viewership.
