Broadcast Bartender is a series of conversation events that fabricate the architecture and traditions of the public house (a building which caters for ordinary people to meet and talk), to provide an experimental approach to hosted conversation.

Initiated by artists Toby Lloyd and Andrew Wilson in 2015, Broadcast Bartender invites 5x Guest-Drinkers and 1x Guest-Bartender to talk freely for approximately 2hrs from a installed public house environment. These recorded conversations are then released as a radio broadcasts on FM and digital platforms. The initial events took place as part of Project Radio, an exhibition and online radio broadcast imagined by artists Marion Harrison and Sophie Mallett, which was hosted by &Model in Leeds. Later discussions have happened in front of a live audience, responding to current issues like the EU Referendum (2016) and Snap General Election (2017).
