Commissioned by ArtSpeak in Nottingham to plan & deliver site specific, drop in, intergenerational collaborative & participatory public origami wall art workshops in four separate locations…

These were:

1) Opening of ArtSpeak three year funded arts project at 38 Carrington Street: Architecture, Design, Heritage & Community Exhibition Space

2) Bulwell Library

3) Bulwell Arts Festival

4) Assisted housing project with hard to reach participants. The Lust For Life wall artworks were co-created and co-designed by participants age 3 yrs +

The wall art was influenced and inspired by French origami street artist Mademoiselle Maurice.

Karen’s origami workshop worked brilliantly as a drop in activity for our event and appealed to all ages. She was patient, encouraging and enthusiastic when teaching and the session sparked conversation and a sense of achievement from all participants which was great to see.
— Hannah Stoddart, Project Co-ordinator ArtSpeak, commissioned wall art workshop for the opening of a three year funded art project in Nottingham city centre, 2019.
